Pinterest Trends for September: What to Pin Now for Traffic and Leads

September is here, and you know what that means—it’s time to dig into what’s trending on Pinterest and how you can use it to show up for your dream clients. Whether you’re a coach, wedding pro, photographer, or any kind of service provider, Pinterest is where people are already planning ahead. And the best part? You can meet them right where they’re searching.

So let’s talk about what’s trending in September 2025 and how you can turn these trends into leads, clients, and a business that runs smoothly through the busy season.

Why Pinterest Trends Matter Right Now

Unlike Instagram or TikTok, Pinterest isn’t about what’s happening today—it’s about what’s coming next. People go there to plan, not just scroll. They’re looking for ideas, answers, and inspiration for the future. And September is prime time to show up with seasonal content that positions your business as the solution they’re searching for.

Top Pinterest Trends for September 2025

1. Fall Décor and Cozy Vibes

Pumpkins, plaid, warm tones—Pinterest is fully in cozy fall mode.

  • Coaches: share fall reset routines, journaling prompts, or cozy morning habits.
  • Photographers: write a blog about what to wear for fall sessions or pin inspiration for mini shoots.
  • Wedding pros: showcase fall wedding venues, florals, and dreamy autumn color palettes.

2. Halloween Planning

Yes, even in September, people are already saving costume ideas, party themes, and spooky DIY projects.

  • Think Halloween brand photo shoot inspiration.
  • Share fun ways to market your business for Halloween.
  • Or create a Halloween-themed freebie to grow your email list.

Marketing + Pinterest Tools

Think of the Visibility Shop as your shortcut to showing up online without the stress. It’s packed with done-for-you templates, AI tools, and marketing resources that cut hours of work into just minutes. Whether you need Pinterest graphics, content prompts, or a full account refresh, you’ll find everything in one place—so you can spend less time stuck on marketing and more time serving your clients.

3. Back-to-Routine + Productivity Hacks

Summer’s over, and people are craving systems and structure.

  • Coaches: talk about resetting workflows or re-engaging clients.
  • Service providers: share goal-setting tools, Q4 planning strategies, or productivity hacks.

4. Holiday Marketing Prep

It feels early, but Pinterest users are already searching for holiday content. From gift guides to promo calendars, now’s the time to start pinning.

  • Service providers: share giftable offers, your go-to tools, or tips for prepping for Black Friday and holiday sales.

What to Create and Pin in September

Here are some quick-win ideas:

  • A blog post or reel about prepping for holiday season.
  • Pins with cozy fall graphics that link to your offers.
  • A carousel or reel with a reset routine checklist.
  • A seasonal freebie like a fall wedding checklist or launch planner.

Remember—Pinterest is a slow burn. Ideally, you want content live 2–3 months before the season. But don’t let a late start stop you! Pin it now, because next year it will rise again at the right time.

Staying Consistent with Trends

You don’t have to do all the things. Pick one or two trends that fit your brand, go all in, and create a mix of content. One blog post, several keyword-rich pins, and maybe a short video to repurpose everywhere (including Pinterest). That’s exactly the strategy I teach inside my club—where you get templates, done-for-you trend breakdowns, and the support to stay consistent without burning out.

So tell me: what are you planning to pin this September? Drop it in the comments—I’d love to brainstorm with you!

Local SEO Tips for Service Providers: How to Book More Clients in Your Area

34 | Local SEO Tips for Service Providers: How to Book More Clients in Your Area

Hey there! Welcome back to the Marketing Duo Podcast—the place where ambitious female founders learn smart, simple strategies to grow their businesses without burning out. Today, we’re talking about something that every local service provider must pay attention to: local SEO.

If you’ve ever wondered how to get more clients in your city (without spending all day posting on social media), this episode is for you. Whether you’re a photographer, therapist, or service provider with in-person clients, local SEO can help you get found right where you are.

Why Local SEO Matters

When someone searches “photographer near me” or “therapist in Albany,” Google is pulling from local results. That’s why having a Google Business Profile is so important—it’s free, powerful, and takes less than 20 minutes to set up. Even if you’re not fully local, Google still rewards you for using their tools.

I’ve personally booked clients like a competitive volleyball league and even Kaiser Permanente—just because they found me on Google Business. That’s the power of showing up where people are already searching.

How to Set Up Your Google Business Profile

Setting up your profile is simple:

  • Register your business and verify your location. (Sometimes it’s a text, other times a live video walk-through.)
  • Upload photos—your logo, your workspace, even your parking lot (yes, people care about parking!).
  • Add your services and starting rates. This saves time for you and your clients.

Don’t worry if you work from home—you can hide your address and just list your service area.

The Power of Reviews

Once your profile is live, reviews are the magic sauce. Ask your clients to leave a review right after working with you, and make it easy by giving them prompts like:

  1. How did you feel before working with me?
  2. How did you feel during the process?
  3. How do you feel now?

Always respond to reviews—good or bad. A thoughtful response to a negative review can actually build more trust than ignoring it.

Use Location-Specific Keywords

On your website and even on Pinterest, include keywords tied to your area. For example, if you’re a Bay Area photographer, use variations like “Bay Area photographer,” “San Jose photographer,” and “Silicon Valley photographer.” This makes it easier for clients in those locations to find you.

You can also create location-specific service pages on your site. Example: “Acupuncture in Albany, New York.” These pages show Google exactly where you serve clients and boost your chances of showing up in local searches.

Final Thoughts

Local SEO isn’t complicated—it’s about meeting your dream clients where they already are. Start with a Google Business Profile, gather reviews, and add location-specific keywords to your content. The best part? These steps keep working for you long after you set them up.

Effortless Testimonial Gathering for Service Providers

How to Get Testimonials That Sell: A Simple System for Service Providers

Are you skipping testimonials because asking feels awkward? Or maybe the ones you do get sound more like vague compliments than reasons to hire you? You’re not alone—and today we’re fixing that. In this episode, I sat down with Kris Jones of Red Door Designs to talk about how to collect client stories that actually convert. Whether you’re a photographer, coach, or creative service provider, these tips will help you create a repeatable system to gather, refine, and use testimonials to attract more of the right clients—without sounding salesy or generic.

Why Most Testimonials Fall Flat (And What to Do Instead)

So many service providers rely on word-of-mouth or referrals—but those can be inconsistent. When you use storytelling and social proof the right way, your testimonials become your best marketing tools. Kris shared that the most powerful testimonials aren’t about you being “great”—they’re about your client’s transformation. Think: “I went from zero leads to booking 4 clients in two weeks” instead of “She’s amazing to work with.”

The key? Ask the right questions that guide your client to tell the story—from struggle to success.

The 3-Step Testimonial Gathering Formula

Kris recommends asking your client these three questions via email (or Zoom, if you’re recording video):

  1. What were you struggling with before we worked together?
  2. How did that struggle make you feel?
  3. What happened for you as a result of our work together—and how did that make you feel?

Bonus question: What would you say to a friend who was on the fence about working with me?

This simple framework invites emotion, detail, and proof—all the elements that make a testimonial feel real and relatable. Pro tip: Always ask permission to use it in your marketing, and pair testimonials with a photo whenever possible.

Where and How to Use Testimonials in Your Marketing

Once you’ve got them, don’t let those golden words sit in your inbox. Kris suggests:

  • Adding testimonials directly on your website at key decision points (right before a CTA)
  • Embedding video testimonials into your emails or sales sequences
  • Turning strong testimonials into social media graphics and captions
  • Repurposing them as mini case studies on your blog

A short, two-sentence testimonial with a clear before-and-after is often more powerful than a long-winded paragraph. Less is more—as long as it’s specific.

Storytelling: Your Secret Weapon for Standing Out

Tired of blending in? Kris reminded us that your story is your biggest differentiator. You might be in a saturated market, but no one else has your journey. Position yourself as the guide—not the hero—and show your clients what’s possible for them.

When your story is clear, client-focused, and repeated across platforms (yes, repetition matters), your brand becomes memorable and magnetic.

How Starting a Podcast Can Help Female Service Providers Book More Clients

How Starting a Podcast Can Help Female Service Providers Book More Clients By Jen Vazquez Media

How Starting a Podcast Can Help Female Service Providers Book More Clients

Starting a podcast isn’t just another trend—it’s a game-changer for connecting with your ideal clients, sharing your expertise, and growing your business. For female service providers especially, podcasting can be an authentic way to showcase your knowledge, build trust, and get booked out. So, let’s dive into how podcasting can attract leads, what it takes to launch one, and why this could be your next best move.

1. Why a Podcast is a Lead-Generating Powerhouse

Think of a podcast as a top-of-funnel marketing tool that draws in listeners who might never have discovered you otherwise. It’s your platform to speak directly to people who are searching for exactly what you offer. Every episode is like a conversation, where listeners get to know your personality, approach, and expertise—building trust with every download.

  • Widen Your Audience: Podcast platforms like Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and Google Podcasts give you global reach, introducing you to new listeners who can become clients.

  • Nurture Leads: Your podcast isn’t just an introduction to your brand; it’s a way to keep leads engaged. Each episode reinforces the value you bring.

  • CTA Opportunities: Every episode is a chance to invite listeners to take the next step—whether it’s joining your email list, snagging a freebie, or booking a consult.

2. Proof of Expertise: Establishing Authority

A podcast showcases your expertise in a way that a website or social media profile just can’t. Each episode is proof that you not only know your stuff but are genuinely passionate about helping others. For female service providers, this can be particularly powerful—it’s your way of saying, “I’m here, and I can help!”

  • Build Credibility: Sharing insights, client wins, and actionable tips proves you’re not just talking the talk—you’re walking the walk.

  • Educate & Empower: Potential clients get a peek into how you think, how you solve problems, and the depth of your knowledge, giving them the confidence they need to reach out.

  • Create Connection: The authenticity of your voice lets listeners feel like they’re getting to know the real you, making it easier for them to envision working together.

3. What You Need to Get Started

Starting a podcast is easier than you might think! Here’s a quick breakdown of the essentials:

  • Recording Equipment: A solid microphone, headphones, and a bit of soundproofing (think foam or even blankets) can go a long way. Entry-level gear won’t break the bank but will ensure you sound clear and professional. See my recommendations HERE.
  • Recording & Editing Software: Descript is my go-to for editing—it makes the process so much easier! And if editing isn’t your jam, hiring it out is totally worth it.
  • Hosting Platform: To get your episodes out there, you’ll need a podcast host. Free options like Spotify work, but paid platforms like Buzzsprout offer better SEO and marketing features. I started with Anchor (now owned by Spotify) but moved to Buzzsprout for its extra oomph in marketing.
  • Graphic Design: You’ll need a podcast cover and promotional graphics. Canva is perfect for DIY designs, or you can hire a designer if you’d rather focus on content creation.

4. Time & Money Investment: DIY vs. Outsourcing

The big question: should you go DIY or outsource parts of your podcast? Let’s break down the time and cost factors.

  • Time Investment: If you’re doing it all yourself, expect to spend a few hours each week on planning, recording, editing, and promotion. For busy service providers, outsourcing editing or social media promotion can save serious time and let you focus on what you love.

  • Financial Investment: Basic gear and software can cost under $200, but professional editing services can range from $50 to $200 per episode. Investing in high-quality production can elevate your podcast and reflect well on your brand.

  • Outsourcing Options: Many podcasters choose to outsource tasks like editing, graphics, and even show notes. This frees up your time so you can focus on creating content that connects with your audience, which can be a game-changer for rapid growth.

5. Making Podcasting Part of Your Marketing Strategy

A podcast can fit seamlessly into your overall marketing strategy and complement your other platforms. Here’s how to leverage it:

  • Content Repurposing: Each episode can turn into social media posts, blogs, or even emails, saving you time on content creation.

  • Lead Generation: Use CTAs to guide listeners into your world—whether that’s joining your email list, your Facebook group, or grabbing a free resource aligned with your episode.

  • Client Nurturing: Existing clients who tune into your podcast will feel more connected to your brand, helping build loyalty and long-term relationships.

Bottom Line

A podcast isn’t just about adding value to your audience; it’s a clear way to tell potential clients that you’re the real deal. For female service providers ready to invest some time or money, podcasting can create an engaged audience, showcase your expertise, and become a consistent source of leads. So, if you’ve been looking for a way to connect, educate, and book more clients—it might be time to hit “record” and let your voice be heard!
