Meghan and Andrew met as most couples these days online.  This is the point where everyone asks which app (hoping for dating advice haha).  They met on OkCupid.  They are both teachers and coach sports (my son is personally coached by Andrew!).   Love of sports is one of the biggest reasons that they decided they were made for each-other.

Andrew asked Meghan to marry him at the Municipal Rose Garden in San Jose.  That is why they chose the Rose Garden as the site for their engagement session.  You can view those images here.

They had their ceremony at the Jamison Brown House in Santa Clara.  It’s a charming 1866 Colonial Revival home and a historic landmark.  This true gem is a Victorian home  boasts a wrap around covered porch, adjoining brick patio and lush lawn, where the ceremony took place. One sweet detail is that they chose Andrew’s grandfather to officiate their wedding.  It was a short and sweet faith filled ceremony.

They had their reception at Freedom Hall in Santa Clara where the drinks flowed and the dancing took over the night.  They had incredibly moving toasts by their maids of honor and best man.  What really made everyone cry was when Meghan’s Dad sang the song, “I Loved Her First” a cappella rather than make a speech.  How he sang so sweetly when so emotional, I’ll never know.

They chose Beyond By Lyon Brides Feat Luke Combs and had a father daughter and mother son dance.  They also had a dance where all married couples started by dancing.  Year by year the DJ eliminated couples until the last two couples were left on the dance floor.  Both couples are married 62 years and they are Andrew’s grandparents and Meghan’s grandparents.  They both have long marriages in their family and I believe that Meghan and Andrew will also!

Congratulations Meghan and Andrew!

The Best Wedding Emergency Kit List for Brides | Jen Vazquez Photography

Wedding planning can be a challenging task, and even the most meticulous planning may not prevent unforeseen emergencies. That’s why having an emergency kit can be helpful on your wedding day. It’s like insurance for the unexpected. While not all items on the list are necessary, it’s best to be prepared for any situation that may arise. The list includes items that have been commonly used by brides over the past 10 years, and these kits are also great to keep in your car after the wedding. The emergency kit can also be divided amongst your bridesmaids for added convenience. The list contains items that cover touch-ups, wellness, wardrobe malfunctions, toiletries, and miscellaneous items. Don’t forget to print out the image provided to use as a shopping list and consider purchasing from affiliate links or dollar stores to save money.
