I may be a bit lazy, but I like to think that she makes me work smarter not harder. Who needs to spend time looking up the time, the weather, how much traffic is on 101 on my cell phone? NOT ME! I can be editing wedding photos and just ask her random questions. Alexa makes me a better me – that’s for sure! Here are some of the questions I regularly ask her:
- “Alexa, tell me the news.” I do this every morning.
- “Alexa, give me some Pauly D Positivity.” It’s nice to hear if I’m frustrated with something.
- “Alexa, play sleep sounds.” My favorite is whale sounds and ocean sounds.
- “Alexa, buy toilet paper.” UGGGG, cuz we’re always running out.
- “Alexa, give me a fashion tip.” It’s nice to learn as it’s not my thing.
- “Alexa, when is my next event?” I’ve got to stay up on my crazy wedding photography schedule.
The Alexa Echo Show (it has video) is definitely on my list of things to buy. I wonder if I can ask my Alexa to order an Alexa Echo Show, LOL!

YES! I admit it – I watch the Bachelorette — so sue me! Being a wedding photographer you may guess that love people searching for and in love! If you haven’t seen it this may be a bit of a spoiler! But I don’t like Luke P. When he said to her, “I know that your body is a temple, and, honestly, I’m just thinking of you holding him bare-skinned, and I’m just thinking in my mind—it really pissed me off,” I was like WHO ARE YOU? He’s on a reality tv show where women date 20 other men. What is he thinking? She did reply to him “You don’t own my body”. But she ended up giving him a rose at cocktail hour. YEESH!
Now if you don’t watch Bachelorette then you’ll be sincerely confused. But if you do, comment below with who is your favorite front runner.

I love them so much. The reasons why I love them are because they are comfortable, they are simple but not tennis shoes, and they are super easy to clean and inexpensive.
I know they aren’t sexy, but I like to wear them with shorts, maxi dresses, jeans, and when I’m shooting a wedding in summer. They are about $30ish dollars. You can check them out here.

I love tequila and champagne. I know they are two totally different drinks. I hate wine and I hate beer. I know I’m weird! But, I just discovered Mike Hard Watermelon. Watermelon is my absolute favorite fruit (see more below) and now it’s something that I can drink too. It’s got a wine cooler type taste, a bit sweet but super refreshing.
Beware of overindulging though because it’s super easy to drink a few of these! If you try it, let me know what you think in the comments below.

Watermelon is my favorite fruit and summertime is the time that it’s everywhere. I eat it for dessert, for breakfast, and I especially love it in my morning smoothies.
Despite the popular belief that watermelon is just water and sugar, watermelon is actually a nutrient dense food. It provides high levels of vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants and just a small number of calories. Watermelon is thought to aid conditions including asthma, cancer, and inflammation
Watermelon contains thiamine, riboflavin, niacin, vitamin B-6, folate, pantothenic acid, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, zinc, copper, manganese, selenium, choline, lycopene, and betaine. According to the National Watermelon Promotion Board, watermelon contains more lycopene than any other fruit or vegetable.
I’ve decided to buy several of them this summer, cut it up and put the pieces in a freezer bag so I can use them in my smoothies all winter long. Do you like watermelon?
