Sandra and Philip live in Los Angeles, but they wanted to get married in the Bay Area on the beach. Their plan was to include their immediate family members and dearest friends. Sandra was googling and found me via my engagement session that I photographed at that exact beach the year before.
Philip and Sandra discussed what they most valued. The decided that portraits of them as a couple, a first look, and their ceremony and family portraits were the most important to them, so we got to focus on that and photographed them. We had so much fun!
Before friends and family arrived, we had fun photographing their “first look” on a cliff over Panther Beach. We took photographs on old unused railroad tracks, and at the water’s edge, and in front of a carved out rock that they really wanted.
And finally, I captured family portraits including everyone that was there on their important day to celebrate with them.
I was blessed that they chose me a few years later to photograph their Maternity session. They drove up from Los Angeles to photograph with me. You can view those fun images here.
I’m looking forward to doing family portraits when they come back to the Bay Area!

Intimate Hollister Backyard Wedding in Front of the Family Tree | Monelle + Joshua. My favorite memory was the absolute love of their family and close friends melted my heart. I have never known two families to so quickly become one family so fast. Every ounce of their intimate backyard wedding was special and meaningful, made with love of friends and family. Also, Monelle actually made her own cake. It was beautiful and tasted even better!
